The 2014 LINCOLN MKX is the brand's entry into the ultra-competitive five-passenger luxury crossover segment.
The LINCOLN MKX is powered by a 305-hp 3.7-liter V6 that puts power to the ground via a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, six airbags, electronic stability control with roll control, rear parking sensors, SYNC and tire pressure monitoring. Rain sensing wipers, blind spot alert, a rear camera and adaptive HID headlights are also available. All the usual luxury features are standard, such as dual-zone auto climate control, leather trim, heated and cooled front seats, remote start, MyLincoln Touch driver connect system and a power liftgate. For those that want even more, optional equipment includes a large glass-paneled sunroof called VistaRoof, heated rear seats, navigation system, rear entertainment system, 20-inch wheels, and a THX certified audio system. For 2014, a new Limited Edition Package is available as well as four new paint colors. Source: Chrome Data.
The Lincoln MKX is a pleasant vehicle, easy to drive, convenient, possessed of an excellent and comprehensive safety package, and nice to look at, especially inside. The four-zone color-coded MyLincoln Touch system is fun to use and fun to play with. Power and fuel economy are both at or near the top of the class, as is the silence the MKX provides at highway speed. Its wide array of onboard electronics and entertainment systems are clearly among the best in the industry in terms of capability and ease of use.
